Honey Flow

The first of the season's honey is starting to come in.

The first honey is very light and flowery, being mostly clover. Later the honey will be darker and more herbal.

Is that the same honey you had this past week in glass bottles, on which you said some of the honey was from this area? I should have bought a bottle when I saw it, and didn't see it when I next went. I have made delicious beet-carrot cake using that honey and your eggs. All cheer, Vera

Our honey is Katama Apiary honey which is Neal Flynn's business. He has hives all over the Island but more here than anywhere else because of our superior nectar flow. Only the large sizes are in glass. If there are not some out there when you stop by, let me know and I will put one or two in the egg fridge for you. best wishes, Rebecca. PS that cake must have been beautiful as well as delicious!
