Columbus Day Weekend Popcorn Festival
Join us for fall fun on Saturday, October 11 from 10 - 3 (raindate, Sunday)
This year will be our seventh annual Popcorn Festival!
When Columbus came to America, the Americans had been growing popcorn for a long time. We celebrate the holiday by trying to completely fill up on popcorn - every duck, goose, chicken, goat and guinea hen. Maybe even the pigs - after a very large breakfast, of course.
Come and eat popcorn with us. Bring a picnic if you like, and help us say goodbye to another summer season.
We will continue our tradition of dyeing yarn with flowers on this day, and this year we will also hold a special show of paintings by Rebecca's Grandpa Jim, an impressionist painter who loved the Island light.
